Life Insurance Corporation of India has launched a special scheme for women called Bima Sakhi Yojana.
Under this scheme, women can earn up to ₹7,000 per month without investing any money. The main goal is to make women financially independent and increase awareness of life insurance in rural and remote areas.

What is Bima Sakhi Yojana?
Bima Sakhi Yojana gives women a chance to work as LIC agents.
Selected women receive proper training and guidance to understand insurance products. After joining, they also start earning a fixed monthly amount along with additional commission opportunities.
The scheme helps women build a stable income while spreading awareness about insurance in their communities.
Training and Career Growth Opportunity
Women who join this scheme will get 3 years of training.
During this period, they will learn everything about insurance and customer handling. After completing the training, they will have to pass an exam.
If they succeed, they can even become a Development Officer, which is a higher position in LIC.
The government aims to connect around 2 lakh women with this scheme.
Monthly Income Details
Women will receive fixed payments during the training period:
₹7,000 per month in the first year
₹6,000 per month in the second year
₹5,000 per month in the third year
Apart from this, they can also earn extra money through commissions.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Bima Sakhi Yojana:
Women must be between 18 to 70 years of age
Must have passed at least Class 10
However, some people are not eligible:
Existing LIC agents or employees
Retired LIC employees or former agents
Close family members like husband, wife, children, parents, siblings, or in-laws
