The special tenure is attracting attention from investors looking for fixed and predictable returns.

Punjab National Bank has different interest rates for different deposit tenures and customer categories. The 665-day period falls within the bank’s 445-day to 665-day FD slab.

PNB 665 Days FD Interest Rates

For deposits below ₹3 crore, PNB is offering 6.30% annual interest on FDs with a tenure ranging from 445 days to 665 days for regular customers.

Senior citizens receive an additional interest benefit under the applicable PNB FD rates.

For the same 665-day tenure, the rate is 6.80% per year for senior citizens.

Super senior citizens can earn an even higher rate of 7.10% per year on the applicable FD.

The additional rate makes the special tenure particularly relevant for older depositors seeking relatively stable returns.

How Much Interest Can You Earn on 665 Days FD?

The actual interest earned will depend on the amount deposited, the applicable interest rate and the interest payout option selected by the customer.

For a simple illustration, a ₹1 lakh deposit at an annual rate of 6.30% would earn interest based on the bank’s applicable FD calculation method over the 665-day tenure.

Senior citizens and super senior citizens would receive higher returns because of their additional interest rates.

Investors should check the maturity amount quoted by PNB at the time of booking because the final return can vary depending on whether interest is paid periodically or accumulated until maturity.

Senior Citizens Get Higher PNB FD Returns

Senior citizens can earn 6.80% on the 665-day tenure, which is 0.50 percentage point higher than the rate available to regular customers.

Super senior citizens get a rate of 7.10% for the same tenure.

This higher rate can make the FD more attractive for depositors who prioritise predictable income and do not want to take direct market risks.

PNB’s applicable rates are subject to the bank’s terms and can change for new deposits. Therefore, customers should verify the prevailing rate before opening an FD.

What Investors Should Know Before Booking the FD

The PNB 665 Days FD is available within the bank’s domestic term-deposit structure for deposits below ₹3 crore.

PNB’s current rate table also shows that the bank offers different rates for several other tenures, including 444 days, 666 days and longer periods.

The choice of tenure should depend on the investor’s financial requirement rather than interest rate alone.

Customers should consider when they will need the money, the maturity value, premature withdrawal conditions and applicable tax rules before investing.

PNB 665 Days FD can be considered by investors who want to lock in a fixed rate for a little over 18 months.

Senior and super senior citizens receive higher rates under the bank’s applicable rules, making the tenure worth comparing with other available FD options.
