The month of November has started today, bringing with it several holidays for banks.

In addition to the regular weekly breaks, banks will be closed on multiple days throughout the month in many cities across the country.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the bank holiday list for November. If you plan to visit the bank for tasks like submitting a life certificate, it’s a good idea to check this list.

Bank Holidays in November

November has several festivals and assembly elections that will lead to bank closures. Here’s when banks will be closed:

November 1, 2024: Diwali Amavasya
Banks in Agartala, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shillong, and Srinagar will be closed.

November 2, 2024: Bali Pratipada
Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Lucknow will remain closed.

November 7, 2024: Chhath Festival
Banks in Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi will be closed.

November 8, 2024: Chhath Festival
Banks in Patna, Ranchi, and Shillong will remain closed.

November 12, 2024: Igas-Baghwal
All banks in Dehradun will be closed.

November 15, 2024: Guru Nanak Jayanti
Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Telangana, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, and Shimla will be closed.

November 18, 2024: Kanakadasa
Banks in Bengaluru will be closed.

November 23, 2024: Seng Kutsnem
Banks in Shillong will be closed.

Weekly Holidays and Election Closures

Banks are closed every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. In November, these closures will be on:

Sundays: November 3, 10, 17, 24

Second Saturday: November 9

Fourth Saturday: November 23

Additionally, banks in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be closed on November 13 and November 20 due to assembly elections taking place in these states.

In addition to these holidays, banks will also be closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of November.

This means banks will be closed on the following Sundays: November 3, 10, 17, and 24. The second Saturday closure will be on November 9, and the fourth Saturday on November 23.

Additionally, due to elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand on November 13 and November 20, banks in these states will close on the days of voting.
