Air India, a Tata Group airline, has introduced special discounts and benefits for students on both domestic and international flights.
Students can now enjoy up to 10% off the base fare of all flights. Additionally, they will receive an extra 10 kg baggage allowance
and the option to change their travel date once for free. This offer is available for students booking flights in economy, premium economy, and business cabins.
Flight Network and Destinations
Air India operates flights to 49 cities within India and offers non-stop flights to 42 international destinations.
Students traveling between any of these destinations, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom,
and Australia, can now enjoy these discounts for a more affordable and convenient journey.
Eligibility and Conditions
To avail of this offer, students must meet specific conditions. For domestic travel, the student should be at least 12 years old on the day of travel.
For international flights, students must be between 12 and 30 years old.
Additionally, students need to be enrolled in a full-time course for at least one academic year at an educational institution recognized by the Central or State Government, University, or other recognized bodies.
A valid ID card or acceptance letter from the institution, or a valid student visa, is also required.
Additional Discounts and Savings
Air India currently waives the convenience fee on mobile app bookings, allowing students to save up to Rs 399 on domestic flights and Rs 999 on international flights.
Additional savings are available for payments made through UPI, Net Banking, or credit/debit cards issued by Air India’s bank partners when booking through the Air India website or mobile app.
