Is your name still listed on the ration card? Many people in Bihar are suddenly finding their names missing from the free ration beneficiary list under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY).

If this has happened to you, there is an important update you should know.

The Bihar government has started a large-scale verification of ration card holders.

During this process, beneficiaries who do not meet the eligibility rules are being removed.

So far, the government has removed around 52.22 lakh names, while nearly 6 crore beneficiaries have already been verified by the Food and Supplies Department.

Aadhaar eKYC Is Now Mandatory

The state government has clearly instructed all ration card holders to complete Aadhaar seeding, also known as eKYC.

The target is to achieve 100 percent eKYC across the state.

If you fail to complete your eKYC on time, you may be marked as ineligible.

This could result in your name being deleted from the ration card list, even if you were previously receiving free rations.

How to Check the Ration Card Village List Online

If you are worried that your name might have been removed, you can easily check the list online.

The portal allows you to view not only your own details but also the complete list of beneficiaries in your village.

Start by visiting the official website: https://epds.bihar.gov.in/

On the homepage, click on the “RCMC Report” option.

Select your district to move forward.

You will see separate details for rural and urban beneficiaries.

Choose “Rural” if you live in a village.

Now select your block.

After that, choose your Panchayat from the list.

Next, click on your village name.

The full list of ration card beneficiaries in your village will appear.

Click on your ration card number to view complete details.

How to Check Your Ration Card Details Directly

If you only want to check details related to your own ration card, you can use the “RC Detail” option on the same portal.

Select whether your area is Rural or Urban.
Choose your district.
Enter your ration card number to view full information.

Urban beneficiaries should note that although their ration card number is 21 digits, only 20 digits can be entered on the website.

In such cases, skip the 9th digit while entering the number.

Checking your ration card status and completing eKYC on time can help you avoid losing access to free ration benefits.
