If you regularly use an ICICI Bank credit card for movies, travel, or digital payments, these upcoming changes are something you should not ignore.

From February 1, 2026, ICICI Bank is revising several credit card rules.

While some popular benefits are being withdrawn, new limits and extra charges are also being introduced.

According to the bank, these updates are meant to restructure rewards.

However, for cardholders, they may directly affect monthly expenses and savings.

Free Movie Ticket Benefit Comes to an End

One of the biggest changes is related to movie ticket offers.

ICICI Bank has decided to discontinue the BookMyShow movie benefits on select cards.

From February 1, 2026, cardholders using the ICICI Bank Instant Platinum Chip Credit Card and ICICI Bank Instant Platinum Credit Card will no longer get free or discounted movie tickets.

This benefit was especially popular among young users who frequently booked movie tickets online.

Reward Points Still Available on Insurance and Transport

There is some relief for users of the ICICI Bank HPCL Super Saver Credit Card.

Reward points will continue to be earned on insurance payments, but only up to a spending limit of ₹40,000.

Spending on transport-related merchants will also earn reward points.

The eligible spending range will vary between ₹10,000 and ₹40,000, depending on the card variant.

New Charges on Gaming and Wallet Transactions

ICICI Bank is also introducing fresh charges on certain types of digital spending starting January 15, 2026.

Payments made on online gaming platforms such as Dream11, MPL, Junglee Games, and Rummy Culture will attract a 2% transaction fee.

Loading third-party wallets like Amazon Pay, Paytm, and MobiKwik will now cost extra, with a 1% charge on transactions of ₹5,000 or more.

Transport Payments to Attract Extra Fees

High-value transport transactions will also become more expensive.

Any payment above ₹50,000 in the transport merchant category will attract an additional 1% fee.

What Cardholders Should Do Now

With several benefits being withdrawn and new charges coming into effect, ICICI Bank credit card users should review their spending habits.

Understanding these changes in advance can help avoid unnecessary charges and make better use of remaining benefits.
