Banks to remain closed up to 4 Days THIS Week (Holiday List)

This week, between November 3 and 9, banks in different states will remain closed on certain days due to various festivals and events.

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, some regions will have up to four bank holidays during this period.

Banks usually remain closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

Apart from these, local and regional holidays may also differ from state to state. So, if you have any important banking work this week, it’s best to check the holiday schedule in advance.

List of Bank Holidays This Week

November 5 (Wednesday):
Banks will be closed in Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Rahas Purnima.

November 6 (Thursday):
Banks will remain closed in Patna due to the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections.
In Shillong, banks will also be closed for the Nongkrem Dance Festival, a five-day traditional celebration featuring dance performances and rituals, including a goat sacrifice.

November 7 (Friday):
All banks in Shillong will remain closed for the Wangala Festival, celebrated by tribal communities to honor Saljong (the Sun God).

November 8 (Saturday):
Banks in Bengaluru will be closed for Kanakadasa Jayanti, which honors the poet and social reformer Sri Kanakadasa.

Online Banking Services Will Continue

Even though physical bank branches will be closed, online banking services such as UPI, ATMs, and net banking will continue to function as usual.

So, customers can still make digital payments and money transfers without any interruption.
