In today’s digital age, most payments are done online. From paying bills to shopping, people are using digital methods more than ever.

But even now, there are many situations where cash is still needed, and the easiest way to get it is from an ATM.

However, there are times when we forget to carry our debit or credit card.

In such cases, you can still withdraw money from an ATM using UPI.

Many banks in India now offer this cardless cash withdrawal facility, making the process simple and secure.

Banks Offering UPI Cash Withdrawal at ATMs

The facility of withdrawing cash using UPI has been encouraged by the Reserve Bank of India.

The central bank has asked financial institutions to introduce cardless cash withdrawal through UPI at ATMs.

This system allows customers to withdraw money without using a debit or credit card.

Instead, the transaction is completed through a UPI app by scanning a QR code.

Several major banks already support this feature, including State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Punjab National Bank.

The feature helps customers access their money easily while reducing the risk of card loss, theft, or cloning.

Cash Withdrawal Limit Through UPI

Cardless ATM withdrawal offers many advantages.

The biggest benefit is that you don’t need to carry your card everywhere.

Even if your debit card is lost or stolen, you can still withdraw money using your smartphone.

However, you must have an active UPI account and internet connection to complete the transaction.

Currently, the maximum withdrawal limit is ₹10,000 per transaction, while the daily limit can go up to ₹20,000, depending on the bank’s rules.

How to Withdraw Cash from an ATM Using UPI

Withdrawing cash through UPI is quick and easy if the ATM supports this feature.

First, go to an ATM that offers UPI-ATM withdrawal.

On the ATM screen, select the “UPI Cash Withdrawal” option.

Next, enter the amount you want to withdraw.

The limit is up to ₹10,000 per transaction.

After entering the amount, a one-time dynamic QR code will appear on the ATM screen.

Now open your UPI app, scan the QR code, and select the bank account linked to your UPI ID.

Finally, enter your UPI PIN to authorize the transaction.

Once the process is completed, the ATM will verify the payment and dispense the cash immediately.

With the growing use of digital payments in India, this UPI-based ATM withdrawal feature is making cash access faster, safer, and more convenient for users.
