About the Employees Enrolment Scheme – 2025
The scheme gives employers a one-time chance to register employees under the EPF who joined their jobs between July 1, 2017, and October 31, 2025, but were not previously covered.
It will remain open from November 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026 — giving employers six months to correct old records and enroll such employees under the PF scheme.
Who Can Apply
The scheme is open to all companies and institutions, whether or not they are already covered under EPF.
Employers can submit their employees’ details through the EPFO portal using the Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) system.
Each employee must have a Face Authentication-based UAN, which can be generated through the UMANG app.
Relief for Employers
No employee contribution is required if PF was not deducted earlier.
Only a nominal penalty of ₹100 will apply, and it will cover all EPF schemes.
The employer needs to pay only their PF share, interest (Section 7Q), and administrative charges.
Even if a company is already under investigation (under Section 7A, Para 26B, or Para 8 of EPS-1995), it can still apply, and the penalty will remain just ₹100.
EPFO will not start any new cases if dues of old employees have already been settled.
Benefits for Employees
Employees who were left out earlier will now get access to PF, pension, and insurance benefits.
This will help millions of workers build long-term savings, ensure retirement security, and gain social protection under the EPFO framework.
EPFO’s Revamped Website
EPFO has also launched its new and improved website – www.epfo.gov.in.
The updated site makes it easier for members, employers, and pensioners to find and use all available services quickly and conveniently.
