Train passengers in India will soon see a major change in how they book certain tickets.

Indian Railways has decided to discontinue the UTS app and replace it with a new super app called RailOne.

This new app will combine multiple railway services in one place.

If you often book unreserved train tickets or platform passes, this update is important for you.

UTS App Will Stop Working From March 1

The current UTS app (Unreserved Ticketing System) is widely used by passengers for several services, including:

Booking unreserved train tickets

Buying platform tickets

Purchasing season tickets

However, starting March 1, passengers will no longer be able to use the UTS app for ticket bookings.

Instead, all these services will be moved to the new RailOne app, which will act as a single platform for railway-related services.

The good news is that RailOne has already been launched and is ready for passengers to use.

No Need to Create a New Account

Passengers do not need to worry about creating a new login.

You can sign in to RailOne using your existing UTS or IRCTC account details.

The app is available for free on both Android and iOS devices, making it accessible for most smartphone users.

According to Indian Railways, the new platform has a simpler and more user-friendly interface, which will make it easier for both daily commuters and occasional travellers to book tickets.

Passengers Can Get 3% Discount on Tickets

To encourage people to shift to the new app, Indian Railways is offering a 3% discount on unreserved tickets booked through RailOne.

This discount offer is available from January 14 to July 14 and applies only when passengers use digital payment methods.

Passengers can make payments using:

UPI

Debit cards

Credit cards

Net banking

Digital wallets

The main goal behind this offer is to promote cashless payments and make ticket booking faster and more convenient.

One App for Multiple Railway Services

With the launch of RailOne, Indian Railways is trying to bring multiple railway services under one platform.

This move is expected to make the system more organized, faster, and easier to use for millions of passengers.

So if you travel by train regularly, it may be a good time to download RailOne and start using the new system before the UTS app is discontinued.
