has recently expanded its presence in the Indian market.
Until now, the company mainly relied on the popular Nissan Magnite.
Recently, it added the new Nissan Gravit, which is currently considered one of the most affordable 7-seater MPVs in India.
Earlier, the company was also selling the premium Nissan X‑Trail in India, but its sales were quietly discontinued. However, the SUV continues to remain popular in international markets and has a strong fan following.
Now, for 2026, Nissan has brought back a special version of this SUV called the N-Trek, which comes with a tougher and more adventure-focused design.

Rugged Design and New Updates
The X-Trail N-Trek was previously available until 2024 and has now returned with a fresh look for 2026.
This variant is positioned between the N-Connecta and Tekna trims in the lineup.
The SUV is designed especially for people who enjoy outdoor activities like mountain biking, camping, and skiing.
The standard 2026 X-Trail also gets some updates.
It now comes with two new color options – Sukomo Blue and Coastal Dune.
The SUV also receives improvements such as a new parking camera, Google-based operating system, and better interior materials for a more premium feel.
Special Styling in the N-Trek Version
One of the biggest highlights of the new N-Trek trim is its unique front design.
The SUV features a gloss black grille with three white slots at the top.
The Nissan logo is highlighted in red, giving the front a sporty look.
The lower bumper also includes bright accents that add to the rugged styling.
The wheels are also finished in gloss black, with the Nissan logo clearly visible.
Inside the cabin, the N-Trek comes with an all-black interior theme.
You will notice bright accents on the dashboard, door trims, and stitching on the center console.
The seats feature deep navy-blue upholstery, which adds a premium touch.
Built for Outdoor and Adventure Use
The N-Trek variant is specially designed for off-road and outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts.
To make it more practical, the company has used waterproof seat materials, which are useful during outdoor trips.
The SUV also includes rubber floor mats that can be easily washed.
Another useful feature is the dual-purpose boot liner, which helps keep the luggage area clean during travel or adventure activities.
Engine and Performance
The 2026 Nissan X-Trail comes with the company’s ePower hybrid powertrain.
The lower variants produce 201 bhp and come with front-wheel drive (FWD).
Higher variants deliver 210 bhp and feature all-wheel drive (AWD) for better traction and performance.
It is also important to note that the earlier 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine has been discontinued in the 2026 model.
