Like every year, pensioners must submit their life certificate by November 30, 2024. This certificate proves that the pensioner is alive and eligible to receive their pension.

Super senior citizens (those over 80 years old) can submit their life certificates starting from October 1. Meanwhile, senior citizens aged between 60 and 80 years can submit theirs from November 1 to November 30.

Easy Ways to Submit Life Certificates

Pensioners have several convenient options to submit their life certificates, both online and offline. Here are the methods available:

Through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB)

Pensioners can submit their life certificates using the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).

Since November 2020, IPPB has offered a doorstep service with a postman, allowing pensioners to access this service from home. To use this service, pensioners need to download the Postinfo App from the Google Play Store.

Online via the Jeevan Pramaan Portal

Pensioners can also submit their life certificates online through the Jeevan Pramaan Portal. An Aadhaar card is required for this process.

The Aadhaar regulator, UIDAI, provides information about biometric devices for identity verification, which pensioners can find on the Aadhaar website.

Doorstep Banking Service

Twelve government banks offer doorstep banking services in 100 major cities, including life certificate submission.

Pensioners can book this service via a mobile app, website, or toll-free number. A banking agent will visit their home to collect the life certificate.

Online Submission for Pensioners Abroad

Pensioners living abroad can also submit their life certificates online through the Jeevan Pramaan Portal. They do not need to visit a bank in person, ensuring they can receive their pension smoothly while living overseas.

In-Person Submission

Pensioners who prefer can submit their life certificates in person at the Pension Disbursing Authorities (PDA). If they cannot go in person, the certificate can be signed by an authorized officer and submitted.

Pensioners should submit their life certificates on time to avoid any issues and ensure they receive their pensions without any hassle.
