Wipro announces Final Dividend after Strong Q1 Results (Record Date)

IT services company Wipro Limited has declared a final dividend of ₹6 per share for its shareholders after delivering strong performance in the first quarter of FY26.

The record date for receiving this dividend has been set as July 28, 2025, and according to the company’s stock exchange filing, the dividend will be paid on or before August 15, 2025.

Wipro mentioned that shareholders holding shares till July 28 will receive ₹6 per share on every Wipro share with a face value of ₹2.

This amounts to a 250% final dividend, making investors quite pleased. On Thursday, however, Wipro’s stock saw a slight dip of 0.7%, closing at ₹260 per share.

Strong Profit Growth in April–June Quarter

Wipro reported its financial results for the April–June quarter (Q1 FY26), posting a consolidated net profit of ₹3,336.5 crore, which is a 9.87% increase compared to ₹3,036.6 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s operational revenue for the quarter stood at ₹22,134.6 crore, showing a marginal growth of 0.78% over the ₹21,963.8 crore reported in Q1 of FY25.

Optimism for the Second Half of the Year

Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director Srini Palliya said that despite global economic uncertainties, the company focused on helping clients improve efficiency and affordability. As a result, Wipro secured 16 large deals, including two mega deals, in the quarter.

He added, “With a strong pipeline ahead, we are confident of maintaining this momentum and achieving positive results in the second half of the financial year.”
