Types of Plans Available

The SAMCO Mid Cap Fund will offer two investment options:

Regular Plan – for investors who invest through a distributor

Direct Plan – for investors who choose to invest directly without a distributor

These plans are named SAMCO Mid Cap Fund – Regular Plan and SAMCO Mid Cap Fund – Direct Plan.

Where the Fund Will Invest

The SAMCO Mid Cap Fund will be an open-ended equity scheme that primarily invests in mid-cap companies ranked between 101st and 250th by market capitalization.

The fund aims to balance growth and stability through a disciplined investment process.

According to the fund house, the scheme follows SAMCO’s proprietary CARE Momentum Strategy, which includes cross-sectional, absolute, revenue, and earnings momentum.

The strategy combines quantitative models with fundamental analysis to identify companies that show strong business performance and momentum.

Performance of the Mid-Cap Segment

India’s mid-cap segment has been a strong long-term wealth creator. Historically, mid-cap stocks have delivered attractive risk-adjusted returns.

The Nifty Midcap 150 TRI has generated a CAGR of 17.47% since its inception, outperforming large-cap indices over long market cycles.

The company also states that momentum-based strategies have beaten broader market indices by around 6% CAGR over the last 20 years.

Focus on Future Large-Cap Leaders

The SAMCO Mid Cap Fund aims to benefit from this opportunity by using a disciplined, momentum-driven investment approach.

By combining quantitative analysis with fundamental research, the fund seeks to identify potential future large-cap leaders at an early stage and invest in them during their growth phase.
