If you have an account with the State Bank of India (SBI), take note.
The bank has announced a scheduled downtime on December 7th.
This temporary disruption will affect several digital transaction services, so customers should plan accordingly.
SBI has shared this update on social media and apologized for any inconvenience.
The downtime is due to routine maintenance activities that banks perform periodically.
These updates aim to make the system faster, more secure, and reliable.
Customers are advised to complete important tasks before or after this period.
Services That Will Be Unavailable
On December 7th, from 3:00 AM to 3:15 AM, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:
UPI transactions
IMPS transfers
YONO app services
Internet Banking
NEFT and RTGS
During this short window, transactions may fail or be delayed.
The good news is that SBI has scheduled the maintenance during off-peak hours, minimizing inconvenience for most customers.
Services You Can Still Use
Not all services are affected.
Customers can still use:
UPI Lite – allows small transactions without internet.
You can send up to ₹1,000 per transaction, with a total wallet limit of ₹5,000.
Daily transactions up to ₹10,000 are allowed.
ATMs – cash withdrawals remain available.
This ensures that even during maintenance, customers can handle urgent payments and cash needs.
