If you are a State Bank of India (SBI) customer, you might face some issues while using net banking every day. But there’s no need to worry, as this is not due to a technical fault in the bank.

A brief interruption of about three to four minutes may occur daily between 4:45 am and 5:45 am because the bank is upgrading its system.

Temporary Disruption Due to Upgradation

SBI has apologized for the inconvenience caused and explained that this upgrade is aimed at improving customer experience. Like other banks, SBI regularly updates its software and security features.

These updates are done early in the morning when banking activity is low, so customers are not affected much.

To reduce inconvenience, SBI has shared some important guidelines for its customers:

Every SBI customer must change their profile password once every 365 days.

The OTP-based login password must be changed every 180 days.

Customers can use the lock/unlock feature to keep their account secure and under control.

When creating a profile password, you should include alphabets, special characters, and numbers. If you forget your password, click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link and provide the required details. You can then reset your password easily.

If you forget your username while using internet banking, you can contact your bank branch or reset it through the SBI website.

Also, SBI allows customers to change their password as many times as needed. The bank advises customers to change their password regularly to keep their account information safe.
