If you are tired of slow internet or network issues in India, get ready—Starlink is coming.
Elon Musk’s satellite-internet service Starlink is preparing to launch in India.
According to reports, the Starlink setup kit will cost around ₹33,000, while the monthly subscription is expected to be between ₹3,000 and ₹4,200, depending on your region and usage.
Starlink aims to bring internet access to places where traditional broadband lines cannot reach—such as rural areas, hilly regions, forests, and remote villages.
If everything goes as planned, this service could bring a major change to India’s internet ecosystem.
Setup Cost, ubscription, and Licensing
Starlink has activated its official India website (starlink.com/in), where all plan and pricing details are available.
According to the company:
For home users, the monthly subscription fee will be ₹8,600.
This means you must recharge ₹8,600 every month to use the service.
Additionally, the essential hardware kit will cost ₹36,000 as a one-time payment.
Once installed, you can start using the internet immediately.
The website also mentions that the ₹8,600 monthly plan includes unlimited data. New customers will get a 30-day free trial, and if someone is not satisfied, Starlink promises a full refund.
Internet Speed and Performance
The expected starting speed will be 25–30 Mbps, but under good conditions, speeds can reach 200–220 Mbps.
With this speed range, activities like video calling, online classes, work-from-home, OTT streaming, and browsing will work smoothly—whether you live in a city or a village.
Starlink claims that its satellite internet will work reliably in all weather conditions, offering an uptime of over 99.9%.
This means the connection will remain active even during rain, storms, or rough weather. The service is also very easy to use—just plug in the device, and it connects automatically.
Who Will Benefit Most From Starlink?
Starlink can be extremely useful for people in:
Villages, hilly areas, forests, and remote regions where there are no towers or broadband cables
Students, employees, and work-from-home users who need stable internet for video calls, online classes, and remote work
Farmers, forest dwellers, and agricultural communities where mobile networks are weak or unavailable
Starlink can bring high-speed, reliable internet to regions that have always suffered from poor connectivity.
