Temperatures are rising quickly across North India, and many places are already feeling the heat.

However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for four states, which could bring some relief.

According to the forecast, rainfall in these regions may lead to a drop in temperature by around 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Strong winds are also expected along with the rain, and farmers have been advised to stay alert due to the possibility of lightning.

Weather experts say a cyclonic circulation is currently active over the central Bay of Bengal and the nearby equatorial Indian Ocean at lower atmospheric levels. In addition, a new western disturbance is expected to reach the Western Himalayan region from March 6, 2026. These systems could influence weather conditions in several parts of the country over the coming days.
