New Deadline Announced

The Pay Commission has now extended the last date for submitting suggestions to June 15, 2026.

Earlier, the deadline was set for May 31, 2026. Before that, the last date was April 30.

This is the second extension given by the Commission, providing more time for employees, pensioners, unions, and government departments to share their views.

How Employees Can Submit Suggestions

The Pay Commission launched its official website earlier this year to collect feedback from stakeholders.

To submit suggestions, users must first select their category on the website. After that, they need to complete the online form and verify their identity through an OTP sent to their mobile number or email.

Suggestions can be submitted on several important topics, including:

Salary revision

Fitment factor

Allowances

Pension structure

Pay matrix

Once the form is submitted, applicants receive a unique Memo ID. This ID can be used to track the application and request a meeting with the Commission.

The Commission has clarified that all memorandums must be submitted online through its official website only.

About the 8th Pay Commission

The central government announced the formation of the 8th Pay Commission last year. It became operational in November 2025 and started its work this year.

The Commission is headed by former Supreme Court judge Ranjana Prakash Desai. Former IAS officer Pankaj Jain is serving as Member Secretary, while Professor Pulak Ghosh is also a member of the panel.

Schedule of Upcoming Meetings

The Commission has planned meetings with stakeholders in different states and Union Territories over the coming weeks.

Jammu and Kashmir

A meeting is scheduled in Srinagar from June 1 to June 4. Stakeholders were required to seek appointments by May 16.

Ladakh

The Commission will meet stakeholders in Ladakh on June 8. Appointment requests were accepted until May 16.

Uttar Pradesh

Meetings will be held in Lucknow on June 22 and June 23. Stakeholders can request appointments until June 10.

Odisha

The Commission will visit Bhubaneswar on July 6 and July 7 for discussions. Appointment requests must be submitted by June 15.

West Bengal

Meetings in Kolkata are scheduled for July 9 and July 10. Stakeholders can apply for appointments until June 15.

More Meetings Planned

The Pay Commission has also said that separate meetings will be organized in other cities of Uttar Pradesh, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, and several other states and Union Territories in the coming months.

Employees and pensioners who want their views to be considered now have additional time to submit their suggestions before the revised deadline.
