PNB dedicated branch for stockbrokers has been inaugurated in Mumbai, offering specialised banking services for stockbrokers and capital market participants. The branch is located opposite the Bombay Stock Exchange building.
The new facility is designed to address the banking requirements of stockbrokers and clearing members through dedicated services linked to securities and capital market operations.

One of the key facilities at the branch is an electronic Fixed Deposit Receipt, or e-FDR, service being offered in collaboration with NSE Clearing Corporation. The bank has also listed electronic bank guarantees and other specialised facilities among the branch’s offerings.
The e-FDR facility is intended to make the process more digital and efficient for clearing members. PNB has previously described the facility as supporting electronic creation, renewal and lien marking of FDRs.
The branch will also provide overdraft facilities against securities and bank guarantee limits, giving stockbrokers access to banking services tailored to their operational requirements.
[[H2: What Services Will Stockbrokers Get?]]
Apart from e-FDR, the dedicated branch will offer e-BG, overdraft against securities and bank guarantee-related services. These facilities are particularly relevant for businesses that need banking support for capital market and clearing activities.
The location opposite the BSE building also places the branch close to one of Mumbai’s key financial market hubs. The dedicated setup is aimed at providing a specialised banking touchpoint for stockbrokers operating in the area.
[[H2: Why This PNB Branch Matters]]
Stockbrokers and clearing members require banking arrangements for activities involving settlement, collateral and guarantees. A dedicated branch can bring several of these services together instead of requiring market participants to rely on general banking arrangements.
PNB’s existing capital-market services also include depository services, settlement of trades, pledging and unpledging of securities and other securities-related facilities.
The new PNB dedicated branch for stockbrokers therefore represents a specialised expansion of the bank’s services for India’s capital market ecosystem. Its e-FDR, e-BG and securities-backed facilities are expected to be the key offerings for eligible market participants.
