Waterways Leisure Tourism Announces 1:10 Stock Split
The company has approved a 1:10 stock split through a postal ballot.
Under the split, every existing equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will be divided into 10 shares with a face value of Re 1 each.
Importantly, the stock split does not change the overall value of an investor’s holding just because the number of shares increases.
Instead, the face value of each share is reduced while the number of shares rises proportionately.
August 26 Is The Record Date
Waterways Leisure Tourism has fixed Wednesday, August 26, 2026, as the record date for the stock split.
The record date is used to identify shareholders who are eligible for the corporate action.
The company said its paid-up share capital will remain unchanged at around Rs 72.395 crore.
However, the total number of equity shares will increase from 7,23,94,543 shares of Rs 10 each to 72,39,45,430 shares of Re 1 each after the split.
The company expects the lower face value to make its shares more accessible to a wider group of investors and potentially improve trading liquidity.
Waterways Leisure Tourism Share Price Performance
The stock has seen a strong rise recently.
Waterways Leisure Tourism touched its 52-week high of Rs 107.50 on August 25, 2026. Its 52-week low was Rs 62.33, recorded on July 1, 2026.
According to the provided data, the stock has gained around 29% in the past one month.
Investors should remember that a stock split itself does not create additional value for shareholders.
The market price is adjusted in proportion to the split, while the number of shares held increases.
