The card is designed for everyday spending, including shopping, dining and travel, making it an option for customers looking for a card without recurring membership charges.

Issued by IDBI Bank, the card also offers a welcome reward, a fuel surcharge waiver and an interest-free credit period of up to 48 days, subject to the applicable billing cycle and terms.

However, customers should understand its reward structure, eligibility requirements and other charges before applying.

IDBI Aspire Platinum Credit Card: Key Benefits

One of the main features of the IDBI Aspire Platinum Credit Card is its fee structure. The bank lists the joining fee, annual fee and renewal fee as nil for the primary card and eligible add-on cards.

Cardholders earn 2 Delight Points for every ₹150 spent on eligible transactions.

The bank also offers a welcome benefit of 500 Delight Points when the card is used for the first time within 30 days of issuance, or 300 points for first use between 31 and 90 days.

The minimum eligible transaction for this welcome benefit is ₹1,500.

The card provides an interest-free credit period of up to 48 days on purchases, depending on the billing cycle and payment conditions.

To avoid finance charges, cardholders should pay their full statement balance by the due date.

Fuel Surcharge Waiver and Other Offers

IDBI Bank Aspire Platinum cardholders can receive a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on eligible transactions between ₹400 and ₹4,000.

The maximum waiver is ₹300 per month, subject to the bank’s terms and conditions.

The card operates on the Visa Platinum network, which provides access to eligible merchant offers and services in India and abroad.

Visa offers related to travel, hotels, car rentals and airport shopping may be available, but their availability and conditions can change.

Customers can also request add-on cards for eligible family members aged 18 or above. Reward points earned through add-on cards are combined with those of the primary cardholder, subject to the bank’s rules.

IDBI Aspire Platinum Credit Card Fees and Charges

Although the card does not have joining or annual fees, other charges may apply depending on how it is used.

The bank lists a revolving credit interest rate of 2.9% per month, equivalent to 34.8% per year, before applicable taxes.

Cash advances attract a fee of 2.5% of the transaction amount or ₹500, whichever is higher.

Foreign currency transactions carry a 3.5% markup, while certain late payments, returned payments, replacement cards and other services may also attract charges.

Customers should be particularly careful about paying only the minimum amount due. Any unpaid balance can attract interest, and taxes may apply to relevant fees and charges.

A card with no annual fee does not necessarily mean that all transactions are free.

Eligibility and Documents Required

Applicants must generally be resident Indians aged between 21 and 60 years. The maximum age for self-employed applicants is 65 years. Add-on cardholders must be at least 18 years old.

The bank may ask applicants to provide identity proof, address proof, income documents and a recent photograph.

Acceptable documents may include a PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport, driving licence, salary slips, bank statements, income tax returns or Form 16, depending on the applicant’s circumstances.

Meeting the basic age and residency requirements does not guarantee approval. IDBI Bank may assess income, credit history and other internal eligibility criteria before deciding whether to issue the card.

How to Apply for the IDBI Aspire Platinum Credit Card

Interested customers can contact IDBI Bank through its official customer-care channels or visit a nearby branch to enquire about applying

. The bank’s official Aspire Platinum credit card page provides details about the card, its terms and the available application process.

Before applying, customers should review the latest fees, reward-point redemption rules, exclusions and eligibility conditions. They should also compare the value of the rewards with their expected spending and payment habits.

The IDBI Aspire Platinum Credit Card may appeal to customers seeking a card without joining or annual fees.

Its overall value, however, depends on eligible spending, the usefulness of rewards and whether the cardholder pays bills on time.
