Infosys Q2 Results brought good news for shareholders, with the IT services company announcing an interim dividend of ₹26 per equity share after reporting a 6% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the September quarter of FY27.
The company also reported higher revenue, supported by demand for artificial intelligence services and large client deals.
Infosys announced its financial results on October 23, 2026.
Its consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders rose to ₹7,823 crore in the second quarter, compared with ₹7,364 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Infosys Announces ₹26 Interim Dividend
The Infosys board declared an interim dividend of ₹26 per equity share, up from ₹23 per share announced during the corresponding period last year. The increase represents a rise of around 13% in the dividend amount.
The company has fixed November 3, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible to receive the dividend. Payment is scheduled for November 11, 2026.
Investors should check their demat account details and applicable company announcements to understand their eligibility.
The record date is important because dividend eligibility depends on the shareholder records maintained for that date.
Revenue Grows to ₹49,244 Crore in Q2
Infosys reported revenue from operations of ₹49,244 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with ₹44,490 crore in the year-ago period. This represents an increase of approximately 10.7% year-on-year.
The company’s operating margin remained stable at 21%. Its performance reflected growth in selected business areas, including demand from energy and utilities clients and increasing spending on artificial intelligence services.
Infosys also reported large deal wins with a total contract value of $5.2 billion during the quarter. Around 62% of the total value came from net-new deals, which may support future business opportunities.
AI Revenue Rises as FY27 Growth Outlook Is Cut
Artificial intelligence continued to be an important part of Infosys’ business strategy. The company reported that AI-related revenue grew 29% quarter-on-quarter, accounting for 10.5% of its revenue during the period.
Despite the rise in profit and reported revenue, Infosys reduced its revenue growth guidance for FY27 to 1%–2% in constant-currency terms. Its earlier forecast was 1.5%–3%.
The revised outlook indicates that the company remains cautious about the broader technology spending environment.
While demand for AI and digital transformation services offers opportunities, customer budgets and business conditions continue to influence growth expectations.
Infosys retained its operating margin guidance at 20%–22% for FY27. Its reported second-quarter margin of 21% remained within that range.
For investors, the key developments are the higher interim dividend, improved year-on-year profit and revenue, and the more cautious full-year growth forecast.
Shareholders should consider the company’s financial outlook alongside their own investment goals rather than relying on the dividend announcement alone.
