Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has made transferring money easier for people, whether it’s for grocery shopping or paying vegetable vendors.
UPI is now widely used in many countries, and in India, HDFC Bank, the country’s largest private bank, has issued an important notice about UPI services.
Temporary Unavailability of UPI Services
HDFC Bank has informed its customers that UPI services will be unavailable on 8th February 2025 due to system maintenance. The downtime will occur between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
During this period, HDFC Bank customers will not be able to send or receive money via UPI. This also includes transactions using a RuPay Credit Card.
Both financial and non-financial UPI transactions will not be possible through HDFC Bank’s current and savings accounts.
This includes payments made through RuPay Credit Cards as well. Both financial and non-financial UPI transactions, including those through HDFC Bank’s savings and current accounts, will be unavailable.
What is UPI?
UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is a digital payment system that allows you to transfer money easily from your mobile device. To use UPI, you need a UPI-supported app like Paytm, PhonePe, Bhim, or GooglePay.
