Less than 10 days are left before the end of 2025. This year, many stocks have delivered strong returns to investors. Along with price gains, investor confidence has also improved in the second half of the year.
Notably, mutual funds have increased their holdings in a few stocks after cutting their stakes for two consecutive quarters earlier.
Below are five such stocks where mutual funds have returned as buyers, and these stocks have also generated healthy returns in CY25.
TVS Motor Company
TVS Motor Company shares have gained 57% in calendar year 2025. Mutual fund holding in the company rose to 14.45% in the September quarter, up from 13.99% in June 2025.
Earlier, mutual fund ownership stood at 15.72% in December 2024, which declined to 15.16% in March 2025 and further to 13.99% in June 2025. After two straight quarters of decline, mutual funds increased their stake again in September.
CreditAccess Grameen
CreditAccess Grameen shares delivered a 47% return in CY25. Mutual fund stake increased to 10.97% in the September quarter, compared to 10.54% in June 2025.
Previously, mutual fund holding was 11.95% in December 2024, which fell to 10.64% in March 2025 and then to 10.54% in June 2025, before rising again in September.
Bank of India
Bank of India shares rose 40% during CY25. Mutual fund ownership increased to 4.65% in the September quarter, from 4.32% in June 2025.
Earlier, the stake was 4.58% in December 2024, which declined to 4.37% in March 2025 and further to 4.32% in June 2025, followed by a fresh increase in September.
Redington
Redington shares gained 38% in calendar year 2025. Mutual fund holdings increased to 11.54% in the September quarter, up from 11.18% in June 2025.
Before this, mutual fund stake stood at 12.54% in December 2024, which declined to 12.10% in March 2025 and then to 11.18% in June 2025, before seeing an increase again.
Bharat Electronics
Bharat Electronics shares have risen 36% in CY25. Mutual fund holding increased to 15.12% in the September quarter, compared to 14.60% in June 2025.
Earlier, the stake was 16.17% in December 2024, which fell to 15.02% in March 2025 and further to 14.60% in June 2025, before rising once again in the September quarter.
