The heat has started increasing in Uttar Pradesh as clear skies and strong sunlight continue across the state.

Temperatures are already higher than normal in many areas.

However, weather conditions may change soon.

A new western disturbance is expected to become active from March 14, which could bring thunderstorms and rain in several districts.

Weather to Remain Dry for Now

According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather in Uttar Pradesh will remain dry on Friday, March 13.

There are no special warnings for today, and bright sunshine is expected throughout the day.

All districts in the state are currently in the green zone, meaning no major weather alerts have been issued.

Similar weather conditions are expected to continue on Saturday as well.

After that, the western disturbance will begin affecting the state, and its impact may be seen over the next two days.

Temperature in Major Cities

The weather in the state capital Lucknow will also remain clear today.

The sky has been bright since morning, and temperatures are expected to rise during the day.

The maximum temperature in Lucknow may reach around 35°C, while the minimum temperature could stay near 19°C.

Other cities such as Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, and Meerut may record temperatures 3–4°C above normal, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35°C and 38°C.

Thunderstorm and Rain Expected Soon

Weather conditions may change from March 15 to March 16.

During this period, scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected in both western and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh.

The IMD has also warned about lightning and strong winds.

In eastern districts, winds may blow at 30–40 kmph, while some areas could experience gusts of 40–50 kmph.

Rain is likely in several districts including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Sitapur, Bareilly, Rampur, and Saharanpur.

What IMD Says About Temperature Changes

According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Uttar Pradesh may rise by about 2°C in the next 24 hours.

After that, temperatures are expected to gradually drop by around 2–3°C over the following three days.

There may not be any major changes after that period.

Overall, the maximum temperature in the state is expected to stay above normal, while the minimum temperature may continue to increase slightly in the coming days.
