India has taken another big step in digital payments with a new and unique innovation. Credit management platform CheQ, along with AU Small Finance Bank, has launched India’s first LED-powered co-branded credit card.

This card stands out not just for its premium design, but also for the advanced technology built into it. It marks a fresh and exciting development in the country’s credit card space.

A Card That Lights Up When You Pay

The most eye-catching feature of this card is its Tap-to-Pay LED system. Whenever you tap the card at a payment machine, a small LED light inside the card turns on.

Interestingly, the card does not need a battery. It draws power directly from the NFC (Near Field Communication) signal of the POS machine. This makes every transaction feel interactive while also confirming that the payment is being processed.

UPI Payments and Simple Rewards

This card runs on the RuPay platform, which means you can link it easily with UPI apps like Google Pay and PhonePe.

Whether you make small or big payments, you earn reward points called CheQ Points. These points are simple to track and redeem, making the rewards system much easier compared to traditional credit cards.

Fees and How to Apply

You can apply for this card through the CheQ app starting April 28, 2026.

The annual fee is ₹499, but it gets waived if you spend ₹3 lakh in a year. There is also a one-time charge of ₹999 for the LED version. However, this fee is completely waived for CheQ customers until May 31, 2026.

As an added benefit, users also get a free EazyDiner membership worth ₹695.

Why This Launch Matters

This launch is important because CheQ was earlier known mainly as a bill payment platform. Now, it has entered the credit card space with features like rewards, payments, and more.

The card has been designed using insights from over 4 million users and 15 million credit cards. This helps offer a more modern, smooth, and user-friendly experience.

Overall, this LED-powered card combines style, technology, and convenience, making it a strong new option for digital payment users in India.
