The UIDAI Aadhaar app has added a handy new feature called My Contact Card.
This feature lets users share their verified contact details easily and securely using a QR code.
With it, others can quickly save your details like name, phone number, and address in their phones without the need to share your full Aadhaar number.
This makes identity sharing simpler while keeping your personal information safe.
Why Was This Feature Introduced?
Often, services like hotels, offices, or delivery providers ask for your full Aadhaar number.
Sharing it unnecessarily increases the risk of data leaks and misuse.
The My Contact Card feature solves this problem by allowing you to share only your verified contact details, without revealing your Aadhaar number.
This helps users maintain privacy and control over their information.
How to Use the My Contact Card Feature
Using this feature is simple:
Make sure you have the Aadhaar app installed and are logged in.
Swipe up from the bottom to reveal additional options.
In the Services section, tap My Contact Card.
Your QR code will appear. Share it to let others save your verified details.
You can also share your contact details via any app by using the share button below the QR code.
With this feature, sharing your contact information becomes quick, safe, and convenient, without exposing sensitive Aadhaar details.
