The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced a revision in the cost of Aadhaar PVC cards.
Starting 1st January 2026, the price for ordering an Aadhaar PVC card will rise from Rs 50 to Rs 75.
This new rate includes all taxes and delivery charges.
The change applies to all orders placed through the myAadhaar portal or the mAadhaar mobile app.
Why the Price Has Increased
UIDAI first introduced the PVC card service in 2020, charging a nominal fee of Rs 50 per card.
Over time, the costs of materials, printing, secure delivery, and logistics have increased significantly.
To maintain high-quality service and ensure smooth delivery of Aadhaar PVC cards to users, UIDAI decided to revise the fee.
The authority says this step is necessary to keep providing a reliable and secure service.
What You Need to Know
The Aadhaar PVC card is a durable, credit-card-sized version of your Aadhaar card.
It can be used anywhere your Aadhaar is accepted, just like the original paper version.
Users can order it online via the myAadhaar portal or mAadhaar app, and the card will be delivered to their address.
With the new rate, citizens are encouraged to plan their orders accordingly, keeping in mind the updated fee structure.
