For example, if an investor currently owns 100 shares, they will receive 100 bonus shares, increasing their total holding to 200 shares after the bonus issue.

The company has confirmed that the bonus share proposal has been approved by shareholders. The voting results were announced on March 6, 2026, after the completion of the postal ballot voting process.

The company has also shared the schedule for the allotment of the bonus shares. The allotment will be considered on Monday, March 16, 2026.

After that, the newly issued shares are expected to start trading in the market from Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Why Companies Issue Bonus Shares

Companies usually issue bonus shares to reward their investors and improve the liquidity of their stock in the market.

When bonus shares are issued, the total number of shares increases, which can sometimes attract more retail investors.

After such announcements, investors often keep a close watch on the stock before the record date, as trading volumes and investor interest tend to rise during this period. ????
