Bank Holidays in June 2023: According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Holiday Calendar, banks will be closed for 12 days due to various holidays, including the second and fourth Saturdays.
The Negotiable Instruments Act covers six June bank holidays, while the remaining six are weekend holidays, encompassing Saturdays and Sundays.
The RBI has classified all bank holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881 into four distinct categories: Holidays Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Banks’ Closing of Accounts, and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday.

4 June 2023: Sunday
10 June 2023: Second Saturday
11 June 2023: Sunday
15 June 2023: Raja Sankranti; Banks will be closed in Odisha and Mizoram.
18 June 2023: Sunday
20 June 2023: Rath Yatra; Banks will be shut down in Odisha.
24 June 2023: Fourth Saturday
25 June 2023: Sunday
26 June 2023: Kharchi Puja; Banks will be closed in Tripura.
28 June 2023: Eid-ul-Azha; Banks will be shut in Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, and Kerala
29 June 2023: Eid-ul-Azh or Bakra Eid
30 June 2023: Reema Eid-ul-Azh; Banks will be shut in Mizoram and Odisha.
People should be aware that, despite the fact that there are 12 bank holidays in June, internet banking will be available as usual. Customers should also avoid visiting bank offices on the dates mentioned earlier in order to exchange the 2000 rupee notes, which, according to RBI regulation, must be done by September 30, 2023.
