PNB Credit Card New Rules will come into effect from November 1, 2026, bringing changes to cash withdrawal fees, late payment charges, reward point redemption and utility bill payments.
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has revised several service charges applicable to its eligible Visa and RuPay credit cards.
The changes mean that some services that were previously free will now attract fees.
Cardholders should review the revised charges before using their credit cards, particularly for cash withdrawals, high-value bill payments and reward redemption.
PNB Credit Card New Rules: ATM Cash Withdrawal Charges
One of the major changes concerns cash advances through ATMs.
For applicable Visa and RuPay credit cards, the cash withdrawal fee at PNB ATMs will increase to 2.5% of the withdrawn amount or Rs 400, whichever is higher.
For withdrawals from other domestic bank ATMs and overseas ATMs, the revised charge will be 2.5% of the amount or Rs 500, whichever is higher.
Earlier, the applicable cash advance fee was 2% of the withdrawn amount or Rs 150/Rs 200, whichever was higher. Interest and applicable taxes will be charged separately.
Late Payment Charges Revised From November 1
PNB has also changed its late payment fee structure. The revised charges will depend on the total outstanding amount due on eligible Visa and RuPay credit cards.
For outstanding dues of Rs 500 or less, there will be no late payment fee. Dues between Rs 501 and Rs 1,000 will attract a charge of Rs 500, while amounts between Rs 1,001 and Rs 10,000 will attract Rs 750.
For outstanding amounts between Rs 10,001 and Rs 50,000, the late payment fee will be Rs 1,000. If the outstanding amount exceeds Rs 50,000, customers will have to pay Rs 1,200.
For credit cards issued against fixed deposits, the late payment charge structure will remain at 30% of the minimum amount due, subject to a minimum of Rs 200 and a maximum of Rs 500 per billing cycle.
Rs 99 Fee on Reward Point Redemption
Another important change is the introduction of a fee for redeeming reward points. Eligible Visa and RuPay credit cardholders will have to pay Rs 99 for every reward point redemption request.
Previously, this service was free. Customers who regularly redeem accumulated points should consider the additional fee when deciding when to use their rewards.
New Charges on Utility Bills and Failed Payments
PNB will introduce a charge on high-value utility bill payments made through eligible Visa and RuPay credit cards.
If the total utility bill payments exceed Rs 50,000 in a billing cycle, a fee of 1% of the payment amount, plus applicable taxes, will apply.
The charge will be capped at Rs 2,000 per transaction. Previously, these eligible utility bill payments did not attract this fee.
The bank has also revised charges for failed cheque payments and unsuccessful ECS or auto-debit instructions.
For applicable Visa and RuPay cards, the charge will be 2% of the payment amount, subject to a minimum of Rs 400.
For credit cards issued against fixed deposits, the charge will be Rs 100 per instrument.
Customers requesting duplicate physical statements for periods older than three months will also have to pay Rs 50 per month. However, electronic statements will continue to be available free of charge.
What PNB Credit Cardholders Should Do
With the revised charges taking effect on November 1, cardholders should check the fee structure applicable to their particular credit card variant.
The changes mainly cover eligible Visa and RuPay cards, while certain fixed deposit-linked cards have separate provisions.
Customers can avoid unnecessary costs by paying their credit card bills before the due date, maintaining sufficient funds for auto-debit instructions and checking applicable charges before withdrawing cash or redeeming reward points.
Those who regularly pay large utility bills through credit cards should also review their monthly transactions to understand whether the new fee will apply.
PNB has published the revised service charge information through its credit card portal. Customers should refer to the latest official schedule of fees and charges for the exact terms applicable to their card.
