Depending on the case, the amount may be reduced or waived after consideration by the Lok Adalat.

The event is being organised by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and Delhi Traffic Police.

Motorists with older unpaid challans should check the eligibility rules and arrange their online token before visiting the designated court.

Delhi Lok Adalat 2026 Date and Court Locations

The National Lok Adalat is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, across seven major court complexes in Delhi. The proceedings are expected to take place between 10 am and 4 pm.

The seven locations are:

Tis Hazari Court

Patiala House Court

Saket Court

Rohini Court

Dwarka Court

Karkardooma Court

Rouse Avenue Court

The event was originally scheduled for October 10 but was later rescheduled to October 25. Vehicle owners should check their token or appointment details to confirm the court where their challan will be considered.

Which Traffic Challans Are Eligible for Settlement?

The Delhi Traffic Challan Lok Adalat will consider eligible pending traffic challans issued up to June 30, 2026.

However, not every challan is automatically eligible for settlement, and the applicable rules must be checked before booking a token.

According to the reported arrangements, a vehicle owner can settle a maximum of seven eligible challans through this process.

The final decision on reducing or waiving a fine depends on the case and the Lok Adalat proceedings.

Motorists should review the status of their pending challans before applying. They should not assume that every traffic violation will qualify for a reduced payment or complete waiver.

How to Book a Token for Delhi Lok Adalat

Online token booking is mandatory for motorists who want to participate in the traffic challan settlement process. The booking facility is scheduled to open on October 19, 2026, from 10 am.

Vehicle owners can visit the Delhi Traffic Police Lok Adalat portal to check their challans and follow the instructions for downloading the required token or appointment slip.

Tokens are limited, so applicants should check the official portal promptly once booking begins.

The reported arrangements provide for a daily limit of 50,000 challans, subject to an overall cap of 2 lakh challans.

Availability may therefore be limited, and completing the booking process does not mean that every challan will be accepted for settlement.

Documents to Carry for Traffic Challan Settlement

After booking a token, motorists should keep the necessary documents ready before visiting the assigned court. Carrying the relevant paperwork can help avoid delays during the proceedings.

The documents to prepare include the downloaded Lok Adalat token or appointment slip, a copy of the traffic challan or notice, the vehicle registration certificate, driving licence, pollution certificate and a government-issued identity card such as Aadhaar.

Motorists should check the latest official instructions for any additional requirements. They should also verify the assigned court and reporting time before travelling.

The October 25 Lok Adalat offers eligible vehicle owners a chance to address pending traffic challans through a settlement process.

Checking eligibility, booking a token from October 19 and carrying the required documents are important steps before attending.
