Withdrawal Limits and ProcessBenefits for Investors

With this new feature, investors can withdraw money within minutes, even on weekends and bank holidays, improving convenience significantly.

The Zerodha Overnight Fund is a low-risk mutual fund that mainly invests in government-backed securities with a 1-day maturity.

It is designed for short-term fund management and carries lower interest rate and credit risk compared to other funds.

Withdrawal Limits and Process

How much can you withdraw daily?
Investors holding units in Statement of Account (non-demat) mode can redeem up to 90% of their investment value or a maximum of ₹50,000, whichever is lower, every day.

Withdrawals can be made via Zerodha Fund House’s official WhatsApp channel, and the money is instantly credited to the investor’s registered bank account.

Steps to Withdraw Money via WhatsApp:

Send “Hi” to Zerodha Fund House WhatsApp number +91-9845335486

Tap on “Track & Invest”

Select “24×7 Instant Withdrawal” on the home page

Enter an amount within the allowed withdrawal limit and proceed

Authenticate using the OTP sent to your registered mobile/email

Once verified, the amount is transferred within minutes

Note: This facility is available only for non-demat units without any pledge or lock, and only for resident individual investors.

Benefits for Investors

Vishal Jain, CEO of Zerodha Fund House, said,
“Overnight funds are used to park surplus money for a short period, so quick access is essential. The 24×7 instant withdrawal makes mutual funds usable for everyday cash needs while keeping the simplicity of overnight funds.”

Some additional benefits:

The daily withdrawal limit resets every day, helping investors manage short-term cash needs.

No exit load and a low minimum investment amount provide flexibility for managing idle cash in savings accounts.
