EPFO pensioners do not need to visit an office every time they want to check their pension payment.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provides an online facility through which pensioners can check their pension status, payment details and credit information with just a few clicks.
How to Check EPFO Pension Status Online
Pensioners can check their pension status through the official EPFO portal.
First, visit the EPFO website and open the Pensioner’s Portal.
Next, select the “Know Your Pension Status” option.
You will need to enter details such as your PPO number, office code and office ID. These details are available in your pension documents.
After entering the required information, click on “Get Status”.
The portal will then show the available pension payment details, including the credit date and processing status.
Pension Status Can Also Be Checked Through UMANG
Pensioners can also use the UMANG app to track their pension.
Open the app on your mobile phone and search for EPFO services. From there, pension-related services can be accessed to check the payment status.
Another option is to check the pension amount directly through the linked pension-disbursing bank account or passbook.
EPFO Released August Pension Early in Kerala
There is also important news for EPFO pensioners in Kerala.
EPFO said that it credited the August 2026 pension to 4,40,901 pensioners under the Keralam Zone on August 26, ahead of the Onam festival.
Normally, the monthly pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995 is paid at the end of the month.
However, EPFO made special arrangements to release the pension early because of the upcoming Onam celebrations.
The move was aimed at helping pensioners and their families meet their financial needs and celebrate the festival without inconvenience.
Pension Directly Credited to Bank Accounts
According to EPFO, the payment was made through the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS).
The system enables pension payments to be transferred directly and efficiently into beneficiaries’ bank accounts across the country.
Pensioners who want to confirm whether their payment has been credited can therefore check their bank account or use the online EPFO pension status facility.
