The listing price was 21.36% higher than the IPO issue price of Rs 1,119, giving investors an initial gain of Rs 239 per share.

The listing marks a major milestone for Jio Platforms, the digital services business backed by Reliance Industries.

Following the debut, the company’s market capitalisation stood at approximately Rs 12.5 lakh crore, placing it among India’s largest listed companies.

The strong opening came after substantial demand for the public issue. Jio Platforms raised around Rs 30,213 crore through its IPO, which was subscribed approximately 22.19 times by the close of the bidding period.

Jio Platforms Shares Listing: Price and Investor Gains

Jio Platforms shares were listed at Rs 1,358 on the BSE, a premium of 21.36% over the issue price.

Investors who received one lot of 13 shares through the IPO would have seen a notional gain of Rs 3,107 at the listing price, before transaction costs and taxes.

The IPO was offered at Rs 1,119 per share, with a price band of Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119.

The public issue attracted widespread attention because of its size and Jio’s position in India’s telecommunications and digital services markets.

A listing gain reflects the difference between the IPO issue price and the market price at the time of listing.

It does not guarantee that the stock will continue to rise, as share prices can change rapidly after trading begins.

Three Brokerages Give Jio Platforms Buy Ratings

Following the listing, brokerages including Nomura, Motilal Oswal and Elara Capital initiated coverage of Jio Platforms with Buy ratings.

Their recommendations cited the company’s telecom market position, subscriber base, potential tariff increases and opportunities in broadband and digital services.

Nomura set a target price of Rs 1,340 per share, while Motilal Oswal assigned a target of Rs 1,350. Elara Capital set the highest of the three targets at Rs 1,367 per share.

These are brokerage estimates, not guaranteed future prices.

The target prices reflect analysts’ expectations about Jio’s future earnings and business growth.

Investors should remember that brokerage recommendations can differ and may change as new financial results, market conditions and company developments emerge.

What Could Drive Jio Platforms’ Future Growth?

Jio’s large telecom subscriber base remains central to its business.

Analysts have highlighted opportunities to increase average revenue per user (ARPU), encourage customers to move to higher-value plans and benefit from greater data consumption.

Any future tariff increases could also support revenue growth, although their timing and impact remain uncertain.

Home broadband is another potential growth area.

Expansion of fixed broadband and AirFiber services could help the company reach more households, while bundled entertainment and digital offerings may create additional revenue opportunities.

Jio is also investing in enterprise technology, cloud services and artificial intelligence-related platforms.

These businesses could broaden its revenue sources beyond mobile connectivity, but their contribution will depend on customer adoption, investment requirements and execution.

What Investors Should Watch After the Listing

The strong debut has shifted attention towards whether Jio Platforms can sustain its growth and justify its market valuation.

Investors will be watching subscriber additions, ARPU trends, operating margins, capital expenditure and the company’s ability to convert its expanding digital businesses into profits.

Although the listing premium gave IPO allottees an initial gain, investors buying shares after listing face a different entry price and risk profile.

They should review company disclosures, financial performance and valuation before making investment decisions.

The Jio Platforms IPO listing is a significant stock market event, but its longer-term performance will depend on business results rather than the opening-day premium alone.
