There is important news for crores of EPFO members across the country.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced a major upgrade of its digital system.

Due to this technical update, several online services will remain unavailable from June 26 to June 28, 2026.

If you are planning to withdraw PF money, apply for an advance, or submit any claim, it is advisable to complete the process before the shutdown begins.

EPFO says the upgrade is aimed at making its services faster, safer, and more efficient in the future.

However, members may face temporary inconvenience during the upgrade period.

No New PF Claims Can Be Filed for Three Days

According to EPFO, its online portal services will be suspended from 12:00 AM on June 26 until 11:59 PM on June 28, 2026.

During this period, members will not be able to submit new PF withdrawal claims, advance claims, or other online requests.

Claim processing services will also be affected temporarily.

The organization has clarified that the interruption is necessary for database consolidation and improvements to the claims processing system.

Normal services are expected to resume from June 29, 2026.

Which EPFO Services Will Be Affected?

The biggest impact will be on online claim-related services.

Members will be unable to:

Submit new PF withdrawal claims

Apply for PF advance claims

File other online service requests

Access claim processing services

However, claims that were submitted before the maintenance period will not be cancelled.

EPFO has assured members that pending requests will be processed according to the existing procedure once services are restored.

Alternative Ways to Check PF Details

Even though the main portal will be unavailable, members can still access basic account information through alternative channels.

EPFO has advised members to use:

UMANG App

SMS Service

WhatsApp Service

Missed Call Facility

Using the UMANG app, members can check their PF balance, passbook, and claim status.

Those with a registered mobile number can also use the missed call and SMS services to receive account-related information.

Submit Urgent Claims Before June 25

Experts recommend that members who need urgent PF withdrawals or other claim-related services should submit their applications before June 25 to avoid delays.

Over the past few years, EPFO has been continuously improving its digital infrastructure.

The organization believes that this latest upgrade will help speed up claim settlements and provide a better online experience for millions of members in the future.
