Crores of EPFO members and employers will have to wait a little longer to access online PF services.
Many people expected the PF portal to start working from July 2, but that has not happened.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that the ongoing system upgrade and database migration are still not complete.
The technical team is continuing its work, so the suspension of online services has been extended once again.
EPFO Targets July 3 to Restore Services
According to the latest update shared by EPFO, the organization is upgrading its database and software to make the claims processing system faster, safer, and more reliable.
EPFO now aims to restore member and employer services by July 3, 2026.
Until the maintenance work is fully completed, all online services will remain unavailable.
The organisation has also apologised to subscribers for the inconvenience caused by the extended downtime.
Member and Employer Portals Remain Unavailable
During this maintenance period, both the Member Interface and Employer Interface will remain completely closed.
This means users will not be able to:
Activate their UAN
Check PF claim status
Submit new PF claims
View or download PF passbooks
Access any other online services through the EPFO portal
If you have been trying to log in to the portal, you will need to wait until the services are restored.
EPFO Has Extended the Deadline Multiple Times
This is the fourth time EPFO has revised the deadline for completing the system upgrade.
The maintenance was initially scheduled from June 26 to June 28.
It was then extended to June 30, followed by another extension until 11:59 PM on July 1.
Now, the latest notice issued on July 2 confirms that the work is taking longer than expected.
EPFO says these technical improvements are necessary to build a more secure, stable, and efficient digital system for all members and employers.
The organisation has requested users to remain patient while the upgrade is completed.
