The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is preparing to bring a major relief for crores of PF account holders.
Soon, EPFO members may be able to transfer their PF money directly to their bank accounts through UPI.
Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently shared this update under the upcoming EPFO 3.0 system.
The new feature is expected to make PF withdrawal much faster and easier than before.

PF Withdrawal Process Will Become Faster
EPFO has already introduced an auto-settlement system for eligible claims up to Rs 5 lakh.
This system has reduced waiting time for many users.
Now, with the addition of UPI support, members may no longer need to go through lengthy procedures to withdraw their PF money.
Funds could be transferred directly to bank accounts in a quicker and smoother way.
Experts believe this move can solve many problems that users currently face during PF claims.
Why Updating Your UAN Is Important
To use the new digital services smoothly, members must ensure that their Universal Account Number (UAN) is active.
If your UAN is not activated, you may face problems while using:
KYC verification
Online claim services
OTP-based login features
New digital facilities under EPFO 3.0
Users are advised to check their UAN status as early as possible.
Your Details Must Match
EPFO has also advised members to make sure that all personal details are correct and updated.
Your name, date of birth, and other information on the PF account should match your:
Aadhaar card
PAN card
Bank account details
Even small mistakes in records can delay PF claims or create verification issues.
Link Bank Account and Mobile Number
Members should also ensure that the correct bank account is linked on the EPFO portal.
The same bank account should be connected with the UPI service.
Apart from this, your active mobile number must also be linked with your UAN.
This is important for receiving OTPs and completing verification during online transactions.
With EPFO 3.0, the government is aiming to make PF services completely digital, faster, and more user-friendly for millions of employees across the country.
