For millions of salaried employees, the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is one of the most important savings tools for the future.

Every month, a portion of an employee’s salary and the employer’s contribution is deposited into the EPF account, helping build a financial cushion for retirement, job changes, or emergencies.

Because of this, employees often want to know how much money has accumulated in their PF account and whether the latest contributions have been credited.

The good news is that EPFO has made checking your PF balance easier than ever.

Check Your PF Balance Through a Missed Call

You no longer need internet access, a mobile app, or a visit to the EPFO office to check your PF balance.

EPFO offers a simple missed call service that allows account holders to get their PF details within seconds.

All you need to do is give a missed call to 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.

The call will disconnect automatically after a few rings. Shortly afterward, you will receive an SMS containing details such as your PF balance and recent contributions made to your account.

Get PF Details Through SMS

Apart from the missed call facility, EPFO also provides an SMS service for members.

To check your PF details, send the following message from your registered mobile number:

EPFOHO UAN to 7738299899

If you want the information in Hindi, send:

EPFOHO UAN HIN to 7738299899

Similarly, EPFO supports several other Indian languages through different language codes.

Information Available in Multiple Languages

One of the biggest advantages of the SMS service is that employees can receive information in their preferred language.

EPFO supports Hindi, English, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and several other Indian languages. This makes the service convenient for users across the country.

Important Conditions to Use the Service

Before using the missed call or SMS facility, make sure the following requirements are fulfilled:

Your mobile number is registered with EPFO.

Your Universal Account Number (UAN) is activated.

Your UAN is linked with your bank account.

PAN and other KYC documents are updated and verified.

If your KYC details are incomplete or your mobile number is not linked with your EPF account, you may not be able to use these services.

Completely Free and Secure

EPFO has clarified that both the missed call and SMS facilities are completely free for account holders.

Employees do not need to depend on agents, third-party websites, or any paid services to access their PF details.

All account information is sent directly to the registered mobile number, making the process both secure and reliable.

For employees who want a quick and hassle-free way to check their PF balance, these EPFO services provide one of the easiest solutions available today.
