Let’s take a look at where and why banks will be closed.

December 18th Bank Holiday

On December 18th, banks will be closed in Meghalaya and Chhattisgarh.

Residents of these states should avoid visiting banks tomorrow as they will not be operational.

In the rest of the country, banks will remain open and function as usual.

Why Are Banks Closed?

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) declares bank holidays across different states for special occasions.

In Meghalaya, the closure is due to the death anniversary of U SoSo Tham.
