Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift has arrived in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹4,25,589, bringing a striking colour-changing finish to the brand’s 125th anniversary celebrations.
The special edition is limited to just 125 units in India, making it an exclusive option for motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors.
Registrations opened on October 16, 2026, while the limited-edition motorcycle is scheduled to go on sale on October 28. Deliveries are expected to begin in November, according to the announced schedule.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift: What’s Special?
The biggest attraction is its distinctive Hypershift paint finish, which appears in red, green and gold shades depending on the lighting and viewing angle.
The changing colours give the motorcycle a different appearance without altering its familiar retro-inspired design.
The anniversary edition also features a commemorative 125-year crest on the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, exclusive side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes.
These cosmetic details distinguish it from the standard Classic 650 range.
The special edition focuses on design and exclusivity rather than additional performance. Its mechanical components remain unchanged from the regular production-spec Classic 650.
Price and Limited Availability in India
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift is priced at ₹4,25,589 ex-showroom. This puts it above the standard Classic 650 variants, which start at ₹3.68 lakh for the Vallam Red and Bruntingthorpe Blue options.
The Black Chrome variant is priced at ₹3.82 lakh ex-showroom. The Hypershift edition therefore carries a premium of around ₹58,000 over the entry-level colour options and about ₹43,500 over Black Chrome.
Only 125 units are allocated for India. Interested buyers must register in advance to participate in the limited-edition sale.
The company’s official information says the Indian registration and sale process is handled through the Royal Enfield app’s Drop Zone section.
[[H2: Engine and Mechanical Features
Under its special finish, the Classic 650 Hypershift retains the familiar 648cc parallel-twin engine. The engine produces 34.6kW of power, equivalent to around 47hp, and 52.3Nm of torque.
There are no announced engine or hardware upgrades over the regular Classic 650.
Buyers are therefore paying extra mainly for the exclusive paintwork, anniversary branding and limited availability rather than a performance increase.
The Classic 650 shares its engine platform with other Royal Enfield 650cc motorcycles, including the Interceptor 650.
Its retro styling combines a teardrop fuel tank and a nacelle headlamp with the larger twin-cylinder engine.
How to Register and When Deliveries Begin]
Registrations for the anniversary edition opened on October 16, 2026, at 2 pm IST.
The sale is scheduled for October 28 at 7 pm IST, with only the first 125 eligible participants who complete the required booking payment able to secure a motorcycle.
The official booking information lists a ₹20,000 booking amount, which is non-refundable.
Buyers should read the applicable terms carefully and confirm the process in the Royal Enfield app before proceeding.
Deliveries are expected to begin in November, although the actual delivery timeline may depend on booking confirmation and dealership arrangements.
For enthusiasts who value distinctive styling and collectible editions, the Classic 650 Hypershift offers a rare anniversary-themed version of the established motorcycle.
However, its higher price is primarily linked to the exclusive finish and limited production rather than extra mechanical features.
