Bosch Stock Split and Bonus Shares: Key Details Shareholder Approval and Record Date What Does the Bosch Stock Split Mean for Investors?Bosch Announces Q2 FY27 Financial Results

The board of Bosch Limited has approved a 1:5 stock split and a 3:1 bonus share issue, subject to shareholder approval and other necessary clearances.

Under the proposed arrangement, one existing Bosch equity share with a face value of ₹10 will first be divided into five shares of ₹2 each.

The company will then issue three additional bonus shares for every one share held after the split.

If both proposals receive the required approvals, one existing share will effectively become 20 shares.

Bosch Stock Split and Bonus Shares: Key Details

The board has approved the following proposals on November 6, 2026:

The stock split will reduce the face value of each existing equity share from ₹10 to ₹2. This means shareholders will receive five shares for every one share held before the split.

After the subdivision, Bosch will issue three bonus shares for every one ₹2 share. The bonus issue will therefore follow a 3:1 ratio.

For example, an investor holding 10 Bosch shares before the proposed corporate actions would have 50 shares after the split.

The subsequent bonus issue would add another 150 shares, taking the total holding to 200 shares.

The combined effect is a 20-fold increase in the number of shares held, subject to the final implementation terms and approvals.

 Shareholder Approval and Record Date

Although the board has approved the proposals, the stock split and bonus issue are not yet effective. Both corporate actions require shareholder approval through a postal ballot, along with other applicable approvals.

The company has not yet announced the record date or the date on which the shares will trade on an adjusted basis. These details are expected through subsequent official disclosures.

Investors should therefore avoid assuming that the additional shares will be credited immediately. Eligibility will depend on the record date and the final terms announced by the company.

What Does the Bosch Stock Split Mean for Investors?

A stock split increases the number of shares while reducing the face value per share. It does not, by itself, increase the total market value of an investor’s holding.

Similarly, a bonus issue provides additional shares to eligible shareholders without requiring them to make a fresh payment for those shares.

However, the company’s overall value does not automatically increase simply because more shares are issued.

The combined corporate actions could make Bosch shares more accessible to a wider group of retail investors by reducing the market price per share on an adjusted basis.

The actual market price will continue to depend on business performance, investor demand and broader market conditions.

Shareholders should also remember that the split and bonus issue do not guarantee a higher investment return. The value of an investment depends on the company’s market valuation and share-price movement.

Bosch Announces Q2 FY27 Financial Results

Alongside the corporate-action announcements, Bosch reported its financial performance for the September 2026 quarter.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations increased 28.2% year-on-year to ₹7,655 crore.

Consolidated profit after tax rose 18.6% to approximately ₹839.4 crore, compared with ₹708 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The financial results provide additional context for investors assessing the company’s performance.

However, the proposed stock split and bonus issue are separate corporate actions and do not change the underlying operating performance of the business.

For now, Bosch shareholders should watch for the postal ballot process, record date and final implementation schedule.

The 1:5 split and 3:1 bonus issue will take effect only after the required approvals and completion of the prescribed procedures.
