If you were planning to submit a Provident Fund (PF) claim online, you may have to wait a little longer.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the suspension of its online claim services by one more day due to its ongoing system migration and database upgrade.

According to the latest update, EPFO’s online claim services will remain unavailable until 11:59 pm on July 1, 2026.

Members will be able to access the services again from 12:00 am on July 2, 2026.

Which EPFO Services Are Affected?

During the suspension, subscribers will not be able to submit any new online claims through the EPFO portal.

This includes PF withdrawals, advance claims and account transfer requests.

Claim processing services are also temporarily unavailable.

Any claims that were submitted before the maintenance work began will be processed only after the upgraded system becomes operational.

EPFO has advised members to postpone non-urgent online transactions until the services are restored.

Why Has EPFO Extended the Downtime?

According to EPFO, the additional time is required to complete the database consolidation and software upgrade.

The organisation says these changes will make its online services faster, more secure and more reliable.

The upgraded system is expected to improve claim processing efficiency while offering a better overall experience to subscribers.

EPFO has also apologised to members for the temporary inconvenience caused by the extended maintenance.

Maintenance Started on June 26

Earlier, EPFO had announced that online claim submission and processing services would remain suspended from 12:00 am on June 26 to 11:59 pm on June 30.

However, the maintenance work has now been extended by another day to ensure the migration is completed successfully.

Once the upgraded system goes live on July 2, all online claim services are expected to resume as normal.
