The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is a government-backed savings scheme for private sector employees.

Every month, both the employee and employer contribute 12% of the employee’s basic salary to the PF account.

Out of the employer’s contribution, 8.33% goes to the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS).

If you have left your job or retired, you can withdraw your PF balance online without visiting an EPFO office.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) allows eligible members to complete the entire process through its online portal or the UMANG app.

Who Can Withdraw the Full PF Amount?

You can withdraw your entire EPF balance only after leaving your job or retiring.

EPFO rules allow members to:

Withdraw 75% of the PF balance immediately after leaving a job.

Withdraw the remaining 25% after two months, provided they remain unemployed.

To apply online, you must meet certain eligibility conditions.
