What is E-PRAAPTI and Why It MattersAadhaar Login: No UAN NeededWho Can Use It First?Less Paperwork, Faster ResultsFaster Claims and Better AutomationWhy This is Good News for You

Announced by Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the move is part of a larger effort to make PF services faster, simpler, and completely digital.

What is E-PRAAPTI and Why It Matters

E-PRAAPTI stands for EPF Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts.

In simple terms, it’s a one-stop platform where you can find, track, and reactivate old PF accounts.

Many people lose access to their PF savings when they change jobs, forget their Member ID, or fail to link accounts with their UAN.

As a result, large amounts of money remain unclaimed.

This new portal aims to solve that problem by giving users a single, easy-to-use system to recover their savings.

Aadhaar Login: No UAN Needed

One of the biggest improvements is Aadhaar-based login.

You will be able to access your PF account using your Aadhaar details—even if your account is not linked to a UAN.

Once logged in, you can:

Update your personal details

Link your old account to your current UAN

Start the process of activating your account

This removes the need to depend on old employer records or forgotten login details.

Who Can Use It First?

The rollout of E-PRAAPTI will happen in phases.

First phase:

Users who still remember their PF Member ID can start using the platform immediately.

Next phase:

The system will expand to help even those who don’t remember their Member ID, making it useful for a much larger number of people.

Less Paperwork, Faster Results

The new system is expected to make everything quicker and hassle-free.

With a fully digital process, users can:

Avoid visiting EPFO offices

Submit fewer documents

Track their claims easily

Get faster approvals and withdrawals

Overall, the goal is to make PF services paperless and more transparent.

Faster Claims and Better Automation

The launch comes at a time when EPFO is already improving its services.

In 2025–26, a record 8.31 crore claims were settled, a big jump from the previous year.

There has also been a rise in automation:

Most advance claims are processed within 3 days

Many users can file claims without uploading documents

Account updates and transfers are now happening with minimal manual work

This shows a clear shift towards faster and user-controlled services.

Why This is Good News for You

E-PRAAPTI could make a big difference for PF subscribers.

Earlier, recovering old PF money was often slow and complicated.

Now, with Aadhaar-based access and a digital platform, the process becomes much simpler.

For users, this means:

Easy access to old PF balances

Quicker claim settlements

Less dependence on employers

Better control over their savings

In short, managing your PF account is about to become much easier and more convenient.
